Rx for a fussy baby

Today was one of those days-- lots of fussing, no napping, plenty of frustration. And for good reason: Ian is the proud new owner of his TWO lower central incisors. My arms were full of baby! After dinner we escaped out to our front lawn. There we made a little nest...

Legs in the air
and put our feet up.

Drooling
Some of us ate tomatoes from the garden (which, by the way, has been a total flop).  Other of us just drooled over them.

Pinch

We pinched and nibbled,

Foot kiss
kissed...

Flower
and just generally engaged in silliness.  Then we smiled and laughed and went inside, took our baths and went to bed.

*Sigh*  I'm not going to think about the dishes until tomorrow.

at the lake

Oh my! Summer is winding down.  I know because all of our bathing suits are loosing their elastic,  I have found about a bazillion Otter Pop wrappers lying around my house and yard, we have gone through approximately 6 tubes of sunscreen, and our flip-flops are looking pretty worse for wear. But we did squeeze in one more trip up to the lake today.  It just never gets old.

Someday I'm gonna do that (at least now I have the phone number).

Blue water
The water really does look like that.

Scooping and dumping.

As I tucked the girls in bed tonight they all still said they felt like they were sloshing around in the waves.  That's how you know it was a good day at the lake!
